Karu Atelier is a leather goods brand from Finland that specializes in bags and accessories for men and women. Our products are inspired by the nordic nature, functionalism and Scandinavian minimalism. Sustainability drives every aspect of our brand and how we do things.

We only use the highest quality, locally sourced, vegetable tanned leather. The leather we use is a by-product of the meat industry, and vegetable tanning leather is the only environmentally friendly way to tan leather. 

All Karu products are made entirely by hand using traditional techniques, in our own atelier in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. All products are fully made in house, from the very first design concept to the finishing touches.

 

Since all products are made in our own atelier, we are able to oversee every step of the production process and ensure products that last a lifetime. This is why we offer life-long warranty.

Karu believes in products that are made to last a lifetime and more: in both quality and style. Leather has been used throughout time because of its durable and flexible nature, and when it is tanned in an environmentally friendly way, it is one of the most sustainable materials out there. Our products are designed to be functional using minimal design, and left looking natural thus emphasising the beauty of the leather.
