Payment Methods

We accept all major credit and debit cards, PayPal, Apple Pay, Bitcoin, Litecoin and Ether. In addition to these methods, customers from Finland, The Netherlands and Germany can pay using Klarna. For more details about Klarna payments, click here.

Production Times

All Karu Atelier products are made to order as part of our sustainability efforts. Please allow 5, 10 or 15 business days* for production time. Each product page states how many days it will take for the product to be made. If you order multiple products, the production time will be that of the product that takes longest to make.

* When you place an order during a sale, the production time might increase slightly due to increased demand. We are just a team of 2 people making all of our leather goods and our sales tend to be very popular. But rest assured: we are working as fast as we can to get everything done.

Since all our products are made to order, if there are changes or additions you would like in the design, this is always possible. If you would like to request a custom product or color outside of our standard collections, please contact us or message us via the Karu Atelier Facebook page. We will work together with you to create the perfect item. Additional charges may apply for custom colors, larger customization, and entire custom products. For custom product requests, please allow 2 to 4 weeks production time (accurate time estimate will be discussed).

NOTE: Discounted products can only be returned or exchanged if the item was received faulty. Sample sale, customized or bespoke items cannot be exchanged or returned.

Free Returns of faulty or incorrect products:
If on arrival the product is damaged, faulty or not the product you ordered, notify us immediately. You can return it within 14 days of receiving it for an exchange or refund. Postage is paid by us.

Lifelong repair warranty
At Karu Atelier we believe, that if you treat it right, a quality leather item should last a life-time. We repair the stitching and hardware on your product free of charge. Read more about this on our Lifelong warranty page.

Products are shipped with tracking. The tracking number will be provided to you, so you can follow your item when sent, at all times. You might need to sign for the package when it arrives.

Product disclaimer

As leather is a natural resource, each hide will be slightly different and unique. The leather has undergone an entire other journey before it became your bag. Small scars, scratches and color differences may appear. This adds to the ‘Karu’ character of the products, and makes each item unique. As everyone’s screen is also different, products might appear slightly different on photos than their actual color.
